Been trapping this spot since spring. 3 belise 330s in front of a culvert that leads to a big river. Beavers keep coming up this spring fed creek and can’t make it through. The odd one that does gets caught 300 yards up at the next culvert. Only one today but that makes 127 from these three traps.

I’ve never seen anything like it before. But it’s about 30 yards from a river that’s probably 200 yards wide. Should have enough beaver tail oil for the rest of my trapping life. Lol

Have 10 pails like this on the go. Should be ready next summer

That’s amazing. I’m not a water trapper. Can you explain the process of making tail oil and what it’s used for.

Everything the left touches it destroys

Beaver tail oil
- chop into small pieces
-seal tightly in a container
-sun render down for a couple months in the sun
- if flys or any small bugs get in it’s ruined
-siphon off black oil
Lots of other posts on here somewhere but that’s the quick version
Pails have been going for a couple months but theirs lots of tails in a 5 gallon bucket. I’ll let it sit till next summer when I have free time
I looked in a pail the other day there is already a lot of black oil on top
I use it for a lot of different animals
Works on fisher , marten, , weasles etc
It doesnt freeze and works in our -30 Temperature in winter
Used it last year dirt Trappin on coyotes and it’s been working well
Going to litter a few bait stations this year. Fryer oil works good so bto should to

I'd call it a honey hole at 15 bevs.
What's a new word for 127 at one spot?

Nicely done saskbone.

Blessings,
Mark

Just kidding no otter around. Go 60 miles north and you might run into a few
But it wouldn’t surprise me to find one there one of these days... but I hope not!
