(and do so with pride).
I'm talking about apparel logo gear from your state Association (or NTA/FTA). There is a great article in our state association's magazine last month in which WTA's merchandising coordinator told about how she ended up having a friendly visit with someone after they asked her about her logoed trapping shirt. Jody does a great job, and I hope members support her efforts by wearing WTA gear with pride. I wear WTA gear when possible. Sometimes it may lead to trapping opportunities. If you are at a fair or other community event and someone sees your apparel, they may keep you in mind next time they have say a muskrat problem at their property. Also I think if you go to ask permission while wearing a WTA shirt or hat, it seems to make ya look a little more professional.

I’m a fairly plain sorta guy...blank Haynes or carhartt t shirts and the like but I’d definitely wear trapping gear! I think it would be cool to put some Dobbins lure logos on ts! Many other brands would make great ts too. I can’t get the site to load but I’m curious about Alaska trapping association swag now... Wife says she’d wear swag too if she could find xs. She wears these wide headband things and it would be cool to see a trap outline or something on it. You can have her head bands and shirts custom embroidered. My wife can make about anything on her machines.

I get a few “ looks” when at the gas pumps with my hip boots on....and my green wool jacket with the NHTA patch on it. Most think Iam with Fish and Game .....lol

Ms. V and i , always wear stuff trapping related. Fur also, i get more compliments on fur than negative. Don't get me wrong go to big cities and you will still get negative comments. Younger crowd sure likes " got beaver " in pink t-shirt October any way. Think the whole town of absarokee knows us as the " skunk people "
Let me sugar coat this

I'll wear an association hat I like everyday until it wears out. Never really think about it. Have some trapper bling I hang around my neck for.those times I feel like talking to people. The first thing they ask about are the beaver teeth.

If it's anything like wearing coon hunting or hog hunting apparel it will get you escorted out of the school here. In 1999 it got me sent to the principals office and he made me wear my shirt inside out the rest of the day and told me if I wore it to school again I'd be sent home. In Western ok!?
