Ozonic's, they absolutely work. We sleep in a tree with bears at 18 yards all night long, until the battery runs out, then they will walk away in the next 30 seconds. Had a coyote get to within 6 feet of me couple weeks ago. Neither bears or coyotes would ever do that without one.
I'm like you, tried everything. I do use it with all the other things I do to keep my scent down. But I'm sold, 100% sure that old bears would not tolerate being that close to me if they could smell me. I been doing it long enough to know. The newer unit 400 has a better battery life and lower price too. Ozonic's, expensive but worth it. The only thing I know that will beat a animal's nose!

All the camo that I put on for bowhunting lies on a chest at the foot or our bed about 8 feet away from the master bathroom. On some mornings when I try to sleep in, I have to run from the room to be able to breath when my wife is spraying whatever flavor of the month on as she's getting ready for work. I can still smell perfume at times when I'm up in a tree. Never used ozonics and don't believe in any of the gimmicks they've come out with. I've never had a problem filling tags either. Just be mindful of the wind direction at all times, works for me.
Trash your goals and plans for life. Just wing it and you'll never be let down!

Operate like a real hunter; stay downwind. I really want to take one a brown bear hunt and test it out by deliberately getting upwind from a brown bear and see what happens. If the bear doesn't detect me I will be happy to endorse Ozonics whole heartedly. Do you think they would sponsor me?

Gimmick. Deer spook unbelievably easily where I hunt (Michigan). Here's something I have been trying with for the past three years that I discovered by accident. Smoke. Sounds strange I know but hear me out. I had a neighbor about a half mile away from where I hunt burning a ton of leaves three years ago, that heavy smoke was blowing towards me in my stand and had multiple deer walking around downwind from me without so much as even picking up there heads to smell the air. Like I wasn't even there. So I started playing around and have been smoking myself up real good burning leaves and sticks and just standing in the smoke before I hunt. Even burning some inside ground blinds once I get in them and set up. I am still in disbelief at how effective it has been. Still do it. Maybe its pure coincidence, but I don't so. Here's a ten point I shot last year at 20 yards hunting from the ground all full of smoke. This deer was in front of me at 50 yards or less for 13 minutes before turning broadside. [video:google]xxx[/video] video wouldn't work but here's a picture of him

Smoking your cloths and yourself with a bee smoker is crazy effective. I have tried about everything, even borrowed my brothers ozonics. And have still found nothing more effective than making yourself and clothes smell as much like leaf/pine needle smoke as you can. I have shot 3 bucks in the 150 inch plus range, and dozens of does using as much smoke as i can. Even when down wind the deer might raise there head when the smell the smoke but show no fear and quickly again go back to what they were doing. This tells me they smell the smoke, but just don't care about it. Of course always use the wind, but when one comes in down wind it does work.

I have used an ozonics for a while now even when I was a smoker. You want to see spooky deer come to the south where they are harassed constantly by people and predators. These things turn inside out when a leaf falls. Ozonics absolutely works. I still play the wind as that will always be best but when you are grunting or rattling bucks will almost always try to circle down wind. I have been very successful with it. As previously stated it works much better in an enclosed space but it can be a game changer. If you want to question it look at some of the ozone generators used for indoor air quality. They can remove the smell of fried fish in 15 minutes from a house as well as the smell of something burnt on the stove. They even eliminate the smell of bacon. Oh the humanity.

I was going to mention smoking as a cover scent during bear season but felt like I might get laughed out of town. I've been smoking my clothes, equipment and body for close to twenty years. I do it because it works. I had an awful time convincing my daughters boyfriend to try it after he had a handful of failed sits during this years bear season. He finally connected the night he agreed to get smoked. I have a beehive smoker and a propane torch dedicated to the process. I use hickory chips most often but will use dead twigs and leaves at times. Most wildlife is accustomed to the smell of wood smoke coming from peoples stoves, they smell it all the time during the fall.

Ozonincs work great and do really work well. I made my own works the same and way cheaper than buying one.

Expensive gimmick. Play the wind This!!! Don’t care what you’re doing. If you’re not playing the wind, you’re wasting your time.
I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."
