OTC at any licensing agent= sporting goods stores Walmart and a bunch of gas stations in addition to regional offices of the G&F it’s all done on the poorer. 1st time registered trapper ID# must be done at the G&F HQ This is not necessary to get a license.

Still have to go to...or mail (I think..nevah done it) into headquarters to get a trapping license. I was a kid...at the local hardware store in 1971...and filled out hunting and fishing licenses.....all you needed to show was a resident tax receipt....to prove you were a resident of the state.

I wish the license was good for something like November 1-october 31 instead of January 1-december 31 though. It's annoying to have to renew it halfway through the season. I can see where that would be a real pain but at least you can do it online. I have to mail mine in and it might sit on the guys desk for two weeks before he gets around to processing it. Mine expires next June.

I hear that next year you will be able to get a Maine Trapping License on line, which reminds me I need to login and get my Maine Hunting License. Been getting my Maine Hunting License online for the past twelve years. That would be great, eb. I hope you're right about that.
