Ok what works best in a dp to catch coon? ADC's Barnes' Cherry Bend Over Raccoon Bait, hands down the best. All sold out though. Huh? Sounds oddly similar to your username...??

I take and wash out a jug milk jug or vinegar just a gallon jug clean and dry
add whatever dog or cat food we have in the house for the dogs and cats and a generous squirt of fish oil , anchovy oil or shell fish oil
shake that up and then I can pour it right into the DP's keeps it off your hands
if they are on their way to a chicken meal and your trying to catch them 1/2 way almost never a catch honestly had better luck with cage traps set in the ruts of the 2 track farm road they will walk past 3 DP set at the edge of the road and into the cage
but if you can get them within a few feet of the den tree they seem to bite much more often.
last batch we did took 30 out of less than an acre of woods where there were a bunch of den trees if they got out of that woods they would not pay any attention to a DP on their way to the chickens
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I go to dollar general and buy the cheapest bag of cat food or even small kibble dog food that I can find that gets me the most for the least amount of money. Then go to the isle with baking ingredients and buy one jar of molasses and in next isle buy two tins of sardines in oil. You should be up to about $6 maybe $7 in ingredients with those four items and go pay for it. When you get home find a container with a lid that will hold all of it at same time. I have a big plastic jar with a lid that holds 2 gallons that use. First open up both tins of sardines and dump those I to the container oil and all. Get a stick and mash the sardines up very fine. Next dump in the whole bag of cheap dry cat food. Then dump in about half the jar of molasses. Put the lid on and shake it up until everything is coated. Over the next month give it a shake every other day or so and eventually the dry cat food will have soaked all of it up and looks sort of dry again and easy to handle not sticky. That is what I do and it works very well in DPs by itself. Brand does not matter on cat food just get dry, cheap, volume for your dollar and add a couple proven coon goodies like molasses and fish and you are set. Ive even dumped in a box of dry strawberry or cherry jello mix and that works too. Now go have some fun with this. Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I took a poll,,and Raccoons around here prefer Little Friskies Seafood Sensations brand. Well here in my part of Tx coons prefer Meow Mix seafood blend over the Little Friskies 5 to 1. Major difference here. Lollll. Or the new Grilled Salmon blend. Meow Mix has a little more oil in it it seems Meow Mix? That's the one cats ask for by name !!

I buy a cheap seafood blend and mix it half and half with shelled corn. Mice usually find my DP’s and steal the corn. Also, if it rains, the corn seems to make the DP easier to clean out. Aside from that, the DP has visual appeal. Coons love to stick their hands in holes and see what they can grab. The key is to put it in front of them, whatever you bait it with.
