will you guys be still be sending furs to auction this year coming up or do you have different avenues you are going to go?

Of course they will.

Mostly trapping beaver now and tanning,I have a strong market for tanned beaver and wolf,but still have to manage the line to keep it healthy.Got too much invested in the business to let it go down from lack of management.
Thank God we have an abundance of beaver-about the only thing that still makes money-plenty out there,easy to trap,skin and put up,and then there is the castor and meat.

Not this guy I have used NAFA since the 90’s made better money in the long run. With FHA they don’t communicate and I no longer trust the auction system. Will take cash in hand even if it is less.

What is it about the auction system you don’t trust? Just curious. Not looking for a fight. Thanks

My wife trapped rats this spring(all open water) and shipped to FHA. All 84 sold for 2.30 before commission and other deducts. Did not expect 100% sale. Oh, by the way she is 76 years old and was in waders every day she trapped.

1 Nafa stiffing trappers they still have my some of my fur and I am holding a bad check.
2 Fha holding onto my money more than a month after theauction(still have not received it as of today) and have not been able to reach them on phone or by email.
Starting to think it’s going to be a repeat of Nafa.

Jeff FHA is solid as a rock. They are short handed to begin with, and this covid crap has made everything worse than normal. The fur market is in the crapper mainly due to covid, and some other things as well. None of this is because or caused by FHA. Give them a break, they don't have even a third of the employees that that other bunch had, and got three or four times the amount of fur dumped on my them this year, compared to any year in the past. I know this, because this was the 23rd year that I have been an agent for them. Spreading crap about them won't make that check come one day sooner, and I know they have been mailed, but mine hasn't got to me yet either. I am not one bit worried!

Cohunt good that the water trapper in the household got out.
Problems will be sorted out with the growing pains they have had this year.
I got flipped with another trapper with the same name in another province, at least it was not the Republican Senator south of us. It got sorted out.

I still have not got mine. I have tried calling several times and no one will answer. This is my first year shipping to them so I do not have an account number to look it up on line. I put a seasons worth of fur on the truck and not one work from them. This is the last time they see my fur.
