Swamp Wolf OP trapper S Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 12,297 South Ga - Almost Florida	Had to unload my freezers to count otters for CITES tags to sell to GFWC tommorrow. To do that I had to remove frozen beaver pelts. Also had 18 nice big pretty coon pelts in there and 3 buck skulls. When I dug out the dozen otter pelts and commenced to putting all of it back in the two freezers...well the buck skulls and the coons were a no go. I pitched those valuable coon pelts...that hurt my heart. My plans were to pay my cuz to clean the skulls for European type mounts...but decided to do it myself. Boiled them in Oxiclean and water, pressure washed the meat off. Let them sun for a day or so, coated them today with 12% peroxide. They turned out good. This is a pic of em after I washed them but before the peroxide. They are white now and gonna brush on a coat of Mop & Glo for finishing touch in a day or two. I'll post a finished pic later. Kinda fun being 20 feet from people in the dark and they had no clue! I’m just glad a Bear didn’t grab me. Had some cake earlier in the day while we celebrated my daughters Birthday. Cold as ice!
