Darn mice (or squirrels) chewed up parts of the seats on a couple of my tree stands. What kind of fabric do you use to sew onto the seat to fix such damage?

I've used silicon to attach iron on denim patch. Two knee size patches at Wally world for a buck

I bought camo fabric at the fabric store and re-covered the entire seat. Put plastic under the fabric (garbage bag) and it will stop the foam cushion from getting wet.

I covered my stand like this . Completely re-did the bottom wood and replaced the bolts that held it on . Used a plastic cutting board as the foundation drilled the holes then inserted the bolts. Didn't use a plastic bag tho as I been told it will rot faster as the foam will get wet but can't dry be cause of the plastic. After covering it I then treated the seat with tent seal to water proof it. I just reapply it when I take them down in late December. Good to go every year.

I used conveyor belt to replace a couple rotted/chewed fabric seats. Any quarry will have scrap laying around. Just ask for piece. I did it years ago.

That is what I had to do.Those gardener kneeling pads work well.Squirrels are bad but bear cubs can be much worse. If you have any nylon straps on the stand, check those every time or replace with chain.

I need to get my hands on some of that conveyor belt material. Neat idea. Maybe a vehicle mud guard would work

Once the squirrels chew up the foam, I sit on metal. Not much difference in comfort. Probably cause I got a big butt!

Cold as ice!

Around here you would get about one year with a seat made of plywood. The squirrels love plywood.

We cut a plywood pattern for ours and then took some cotton and put on top of it and then covered it with fabric and staples it on the back side worked pretty good

I wish there was a way to buy & mend this kind of material for new seats or seat repair. This photo is from a ladder stand seat of mine
