Saw this earlier this morning. I'm assuming was recorded with a go pro mounted to his head or something? Pretty stable cam work and I know I'm not that coordinated to walk backwards for that far. Looks like the cat was trying to get him to turn and run followed a long ways if it was just driving him off really enjoyed the comments I woulda He shoulda just missing something looked like dirt flew in front of the cat when it took off

I think he threw a rock at the cat that caused it to take off. Silly to take a hike in an area where you know you could encounter a lion without a firearm.

I had a chance a few years back of petting a semi-tame Florida panther at a roadside zoo in Florida.
I had instant respect for it's lethalness. Just solid muscle. It could mess you up in a heartbeat if it wanted to.

Dennis hands were busy with the stupid camera seems to be everyone's response these days get it on video animals like that that have no fear of humans need to be taught too , a lethal shot insures the lesson is never un-learned
