Want to know if there anyone who makes like a poster that shows different pieces of round stock square tubbing angle and such in its actual size and thickness. It's kinda hard to explain what I mean but I've been to a few places that have one and it basically looks like some took a picture of each material laid it on a piece of paper and traced the out line and labeled it. So for like 1/8" 2" square tubing you have a square drawn 2"x2" and the lines making the square are 1/8" thick. Like I know I could just use a tape but having something like that would beyond helpful.
So anyone know where a guy could possibly get one of these if their made?

Most large metal suppliers will have a reference book showing their offerings. Also steel I believe has this.

i think those posters are given to dealers buy manufacturers or suppliers. I've seen the ones you're talking about, also ones for millwork; actual size profiles with dimensions. I don't know where you would get them short of asking your supplier where they got them and following up.

Eh...wot?

Doesn’t have ferrous metal.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Alro will send you a book of all steel materials with dimension and specs. Its WAYYY more detailed than simple round and square stock pieces, but it has that too.

Here's my local supplier. They have a good catalog of all of their offerings with dimensions.

But no cross section pictures. Unlike wooden mill work, metal profiles are pretty straightforward.
