Racoons dig up thousands along the upper Iowa ,I live on the bank of it and see them lay eggs quite often ,starting in early June . The coon come in a day or two and nothing but egg shells everywhere . I have to wait to mow sometimes in August and early Sept. to let them clear my lawn
