Back in the day I did a little hiking in the White Mountains prior to joining some houndsmen friends near Island Pond for a bear hunt. Good times and beautiful country. The sign at the trailhead to Mt. Washington is one I've never forgotten and to this day reminds me of the need for proper preparation.

That Wintah stuff is 1 1/2 hours north of me....still driving the GTO....hopefully till Nov 9... then it goes inside for its wintahs nap.
