This thing is one wicked bad hog killing machine. I am shooting the 200 grain monoflex Hornadies, this is an all copper hollow point with some type of resin poured into the hollow point cavity. Three hogs down. All did the belly flop for me. My best friend has shot two and one ran off but he hit it a little back. It only ran 60-70 yards and went belly up. Waiting on my bullets and Dies to arrive so I can start reloading these cases. Cant wait to whop a deer with it. Figure it will be very similar to the hogs.

What distance? My 5.56 drops them at less than 100 yards. Most shots are less than 50 though. Head shots tend to drop about everything though.

Nice. I am trying a suppressed 300blk for them this year. Subsonic so not much knock down and not much expansion but I keep it under 100 yards and aim for the ear. Fun and quiet but I would like more punch for sure.

Try the 458 SOCOM with sub sonic 550 grain cast bullets. Still plenty of thump for porky. And its quiet and fits into an AR and all your 30 223 mags are now a democrat friendly 10 rounds capacity. I shoot 300 grainers with a healthy load of H or IMR 4198. With that you are in 45-70 territory from an AR platform and thats plenty for the oinks

My AR10 chambered in a 308 would lay some hogs out. Will keep its velocity and energy down range better also.
