Dirk OP trapper D Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 305 Wisconsin	Legendary sports writer from the twin cities for those who don't know of him, he was 100 and wrote his last column 6 days ago, he was also the official/unofficial GM of the Minneapolis Lakers. His close personal friends were Bobby knight, Woody hayes, Bud Grant, George Steinbrenner to name a few and my dad who was his pharmacist for many years, my dad always said he was a very nice guy

He was a critic but a fan who loved sports. Writing columns until your a hundred unbelievable.Had a column in the Sports section today at at age 100 the day he passed. At one time we had a restaurant ln our town,and ran into Sid there many times.He was always the gentleman and always took the time to talk to my wife and daughter.
