WI opener my boys wanted to get right after it, so we set some coon traps. My brother helped my youngest, 7 set some dogproofs, and I help my 10 year old with some dirt holes. He's been practicing in my yard, (which i wasn't overally thrilled with bald spots in my yard) but he wants to learn the skill, so its fun. I checked make sure they were bedded solid but thats about it. So Sundays check we had 3 coon and a ............ young cat! Caught in a 1.5, back leg. I've actually got a tag but we released holding out for mom or dad. But very cool. My first experience with a cat also. Fun day!

Congratulations to one and all it doesn't get much better than that ! Keep up the good work a journal maybe a great idea for your young fella's so they can look back at their experiences good bad or indifferent it'll bring a smile to the faces of one and all.

Awsum catches. I have yet to catch a Bobcat but since they are protected in Indiana I'm quite ok with that. Maybe some day we will get a season.

Ya. 5 years ago around here you would here someone have a picture or two, and it would be a big deal. Now in the last year or so, if you got cameras out, you got cat pics.
