When in Turkey, the toilet was a hole in the ground and a hose. No toilet paper.

Dont drink out of the hose.

I spent 3 weeks in India in 2008, yes things are different for sure.

After spending some time in Eastern Russian where they have squat "toilets" I began to appreciate them. Better than sitting on something a million other people capped on. Got a better BM also.

After spending time in cambodia, I got to appreciate the hose.

Basically a bidet, but they had soap too....

Had two sisters drag their families all over the world in the service. The two things I remember them saying was don't eat the fresh vegetables because they used human fertilizer and if you wanted to test the people for disease a fingernail clipping was a good place to start.

Watched Andrew Zimmern one night. He was in Thailand or Cambodia on a boat. Occasionally, you would see human excrement float by. They would dip water out of the river for making soup.
