I use it. Melted in a big canning pot using a Coleman stove for heat.

Yes. The gulf wax they sell in the canning section works fine. You can add a little bit of beeswax to make it hold up better, but it’s not necessary.

Ok thanks. I was asking b/c I just watched a video on waxing ducks to pluck them. You get get 10lbs of paraffin on amazon for like $30. I just wanted to see if I could use it for both. Thanks.

If you use wax to pluck ducks with don’t ever put your traps in that wax. You’ll contaminate them with the duck scent and you’ll get your traps dug up constantly
