Always use a good sized dead stick ovah yah 330 for beaver trapping...Also known as a “Dive Stick “..... it makes the on coming beaver dive undah the stick into yah trap....instead of swimming ovah yah submerged trap...causing it to tip over, and no catch.

And get that 330 out in the channel where they swim into it. Up on the bank they are walking.

Should the word dead be in front of the word stick?

What green sticks do they like in your area?

Other than the exotics, beavs are the only bearer I have not trapped or tried to trap.

I've seen where they like quaking aspen here.
I think that tree has different names in other regions.

West of the Mississippi it’s called Aspen....in the East it’s called Poplar

Not all of the east. South of the Mason Dixon poplar is an entirely different species, tulip tree aka tulip poplar/yellow poplar/poplar.

BTW, tulip is low on their preference. They most definitely cut it but much prefer sweet gum, maple, privet, crepe myrtle and knockout roses to tulip poplar.

My preferred bait stick is sweet gum.
