Our new house was to have been delivered yesterday but Thursday during final site inspection the mover discovered that the tongue is on the wrong end of house. There is not enough room at site to turn house around and seller says tongue cannot be moved to other end without voiding warranty. We feel we are getting runaround as they don't seem to want to help solve problem. My question is can the tongue be moved or can the unit be backed up for two or three hundred yards. I swear the mover said it could be backed but seller says no.

No just put onto foundation with truck. Truck to be pulled over foundation then house jacked up and axles removed then set.

The modular home dealers in this area require a dozer assist. After the home is delivered the dozer has a hitch and will put the home where needed. Backward or forward and most excavating companies supply this service......I did not see your above post . I was assuming you were crane setting.

Yes they are bringing a dozer. My question can the home be backed a couple hundred yards up moderate hill or is dozer for just for final placement. Mentioning dozer just more typing in previous post.

Do Not get bullied...And donsign-off off on liability ...until the house is fully set and set off. The seller is on the hook until you sign off!
They Craned our 80' er onto our poured basement and the seller dealer Tried to get me to sign off before the crane arrived. Because they had Never used 3 straps on an 80 onto a basement. I said no .you own it until its on the foundation fully set up. Boy he was mad

We bought a display model because wait was 7 to 10 months. Standard design. No drawings and this is our first manufactured home so I never thought about tongue placement. Third time delivery guy was out was first time backward house was mentioned.

We just ordered a new manufactured home. Won't be here until June. We've been living in a 16 X 24 cabin with no running water or electricity for 2 years and 4 months. Who are you dealing with if you don't mind me asking?

Gravel road. The delivery guy was super complimentary when he did his first exam after we rebuilt it, said it was the first time in 30 years a road builder had actually listened to him. To be fair we are dealing with the seller not him. We will call him Monday and see what he has to say. I think the seller wants it off her lot and not deal with us.

That's the answer to your question. The dealers only want the house sold, work with your on site guy ...He's going to have the expereince
