They keep shooting deer like this I am not gonna have much time to hunt. On the plus side I am down to one that hasn't killed one yet but I think she is waiting untill rifle season to fill her tags.
Monday this week I took out bonus daughter #1 and my boy. Longish story short she got a nice doe at 52 yards with one of my crossbows. Thursday my boy got a nice doe at 200 yards with the rifle. Friday I took bonus daughter #2 and my boy out. She got a nice doe with the rifle at 40 yards. That was her first deer hunt. It wasn't looking good when we got out in the woods. I went to load the rifle and couldn't find the bolt. I walked a few hundred yards back to the house and found it. She was so excited that she got one.
Got one deer all done and the other two in coolers. I know what I am doing tuesday after the morining hunt.

Thanks guys. I guess I should have said that my bonus daughters are our neighbors kids. This is the third year taking them out hunting.
dkrug- Thanks, I feel much better butchering deer now.
trapdog1- I like to think that I am the lucky charm but I have been crawling through our swamp for 30 years so. That said, I let the kids pick where we go. Seems to work better that way. Plus, I take a bunch of time off during hunting season to take kids and myself hunting. I do like it better when the kids get the deer tho! I do like it when I stumble on one myself. Hey, it happens!

You have goof problems Mister
I have many problems, but what are 'goof' problems? I was being sarcastic, it really does not take that much time for me to process a deer. A few hours I can have those two deer done. I was bragging about the ability of the kids that I have taken out. Not that they can shoot, but that they want to go out hunting.

Lol. I thought that it might have been a southern thing. I almost googled it. Yup, these problems I do not mind.

jbyrd- Not sure how it happened. My boy and I had taken it out a few days before to make sure it was still sighted in. When we got back he leaned it up against one of the desks in our basement. Not sure how it came out but I found it on the floor where it was leaning against the desk. The rifle is a savage 340 in 222. I was glad it was there and not lost in the woods
