Ok, I have a brand new Bulldog 440. Three weeks ago the limb tip busted while in my caldwell field pod, cut the string and wrecked that limb. I call Excalibur the next day. I get charged a dry fire fee and then it takes them three weeks to send the replacement limbs. Well, I got them today. They sent the Assasin MICRO series short limbs to replace the Bulldog440 Matrix series limbs. Folks, that wont work. To top it off i am headed to Bulletbox's place deer hunting Wednesday morning. This royally SUX
I am calling them in the morning to get them to ship the dang correct limbs to BB's address and do it in a big hurry, like two day delivery. They screwed up I diddnt. I doubt they will do it but I am gonna try.

I love my old Excal Exocet. I’ve never had to use their customer service though. Sounds like I lucked out. I hope you get this sorted out in time for your hunt.
Eh...wot?

WS What did you switch to? TenPoint. I've had it for 8 years and 0 problems. I'm not a fair weather hunter and it has been put through the wringer. When I bought mine it was the top one. Now, if they still made it, it would be middle of the pack. It's no longer the fastest, certainly not the lightest or quietest, and the trigger is rough to put it mild. But over the years I've acquired a feel for it and don't plan to upgrade. WS

Sorry for what happened to you. The rest of this is not to make excuses but is fwiw. I help at a shop and right now (hunting season) we have guys coming in every day (4 yesterday at opening time) who either over crank their bows, cut strings/cables with broadheads, have them fall out of trees, hitting limbs when shooting, not shooting the right bolt (almost all are nock specific) plus had one guy with a Ravin drill out the crank to get at a pin! They expect him to have any part they need. Almost all manufacturers automatically say 4 weeks for parts due to them being closed due to Covid and no extra parts had been able to be made. Even getting crossbows is hard for him and he got 5 Missions in yesterday and 2 sold within a few hours and his rack where they hang only had 1 crossbow last Sat.TenPoint is close enough that 2X at the beginning of October and probably a 3rd in the next day or 2 I'll drive down to get parts IF available (besides other parts needed is a scope rail that a guy bent when it fell off his 4 wheeler last night). Even then getting string/cables or arrows is near impossible (warehouse didn't have any arrows so had to get them from the front store which was almost out).

Sorry to hear of your troubles.
I had no problem with them when I had to send back my assassin. I attempted to draw it with a rope cocker to see how it would be if I had to use it in the field. One of the hooks on the rope broke when it was almost all the way back basically dry firing it. It broke the one limb tip. I told them this. I paid to ship it to them and they fixed it up for me.
When I bought the assassin I bought an extra string and a stringer for it.
I also have a tenpoint 470. Not sure which one I like more. They both have their pluses and minuses. I didn't like the ravin bows. They put the end of the string right by your face and they were louder than the tenpoint. I decided to go with a name that has been around for awhile.

I’m nota huge user of x-bows but I do own 2. I’ve had a few over the years but typically use a compound when my buddy allows. Bought the x-bow originally because we had a spot we could only archery hunt regardless the season. Used it during the firearms season. Started with a Barnett. Sold it off of a Parker. Sold the Parker to get a Killer Instinct Swat. Later purchased a KI Ripper 415 as a backup for wife and kids as well as my father n law. Now that I’ve got issues with my shoulders and had back surgery a couple years back, I find myself using the compound early and switching to the x-bow when the temps drop due to physical ailments.
I said all that to say this. KI had good customer service. They move quickly and take care of their customers. I’ve not had to use them personally but my buddy is a dealer for them. Both bows have been great and I’m considering getting rid of the Ripper to get the new model Swat. That thing is just the best dang design on the market in my opinion. He’s also a TP dealer and Scorpyd as well. I’ll not tell ya which ones see more time going back and forth in the mail but I’ll say this: it’s not the KI’s. Anything can happen to any bow regardless the maker. KI had issues with the Furious 9.5 when it came out but they’ve fixed it now. And while they may not be the fastest on the market, I can still shoot right with the Ravin in terms of accuracy out to 100 with either that I’ve got. But, anyone shooting that far is taking a huge chance anyway. I’ll not shoot a deer as far with one of these as I would my compound just because of how loud they are. Those recurve bows are def quieter and have their pluses. But, I’ll take what I’ve got over anything on the current market. Just throwing it out there.
I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."
