I had Dex cool flush in July. Shop told me that does not use machine ever or any air pressure. Say not want stir things up an make worse, also say impossible or hard get all out,I know they took bottom hose off, so I understand they use half water an Dex cool to refill, so i shouldn't have by tester an check how grades for winter ? I not want drive over there or bother shop unless got to, usally long wait, an change oil rotate tires stuff myself or bulbs, wipers. Air filter. Or essy stuff, I had cheap tester an not find. I would think if shop flush that got enough coolant in it I believe half Dex cool, or would be good idea buy tester ?

Autozone is better than O'reilly in my neighborhood. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

1/2 and 1/2 is the recommended mix for winter use.

8 miles a each day you hardly warm it up , go for a good drive wipe dip stick before and check after
you may have an PCV valve not opening positive crank ventilation valve it pulls vacuum on your valve cover to pull the blow by from the engine back into the manifold to get burned
how many miles does the truck have ?

I just google pcv valve on motor. There is none. Possibly some kinda venting for it, not sure where. Or what. I would think it throw a code. Thinking about it. Most short trips. All week, 4 5 miles work I'm morning an home. Then other job, not quite 8 miles one way. Condensation, I have check oil when real cold an frozen like on dipstick, it was milky right after change when check it. I drove a few blocks away am back an shut off after change oil, a problem with some motors. Maybe that why the cat that integrated on converter went bad after 2 or 3 years, can't rember, I had another colorado before this one. I believe same condensation. On oil , maybe normal for motor ? Not sure on PVC venting on what has or how check or if throw a code, has Maas air flow sensor, any kinda venting would be metered an if clog, throw a code ? There is some kinda vent that get plug in when put cover on top, that remove when put spark plugs in, was very hard shop plug in, not sure that it

Reading up on it again, 2.9 motors are notorious for condensation, dipstick tube an oil filler cap is good spot to see it, short trips to work, I bet that what it is, my ancient other Chevy pickup 2.5, never see it, what other motors are like this ? Newer gm motors I bet
