I would bet that a lot of the different brands are manufactured by the same people.

The 3/8 pitch. 72 Drive links and 050 gauge are the important numbers. Then you have to decide if your saw will be able to pull a full comp chain or in harder wood you may be better off running a half or full skip tooth chain. If a full comp one may bog the saw down. Semi chisel chain will not cut as aggressive as a full chisel chain but will keep its edge longer. If you buy Stihl chain with a green tie strap all bets are off. Those do not cut well whatever you do with them. I bought one once by mistake and can't type the technical terms I used trying to work with it on here without getting a holiday.

by the way if you don't need the 20 inch for the size of the wood the 18 inch bar and chain on that saw will cut even faster the 18 can hardly slow the rpm down

x-cut does not appear to come in .050 only .058 and .063 which are the considered professional gauge

not sure that you are but if you compare a sharp full chisel chain to a safety chain it will generally cut much faster.

also when you sharpen clean out the gullet and not just get the top plate sharp , the gullet is the space for the chip to be carried out

the RM type chains from stihl are the low kick back green link , or green tie strap or green on the box
