kyron4 OP trapper K Joined: Jun 2013 Posts: 1,311 Indiana	Opened a new block/bag of peat moss that had been in the rafters of my pole barn all summer, and instead of being loose and fluffy when broke apart it was clumpy and had a slight off "damp" smell to it. The last bag broke apart fluffy and just smelled like peat moss. Good to use or am I inviting problems, i.e. refusals ,dug traps etc. ? Throw it out ? -Thanks

jabNE trapper Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 8,341 Firth, Nebraska	You have to open the bag up and let it dry air out out or it can mold if moisture in it. Moldy peat stinks. Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
