Mine are pretty simple. Knee replacement on the 18th so most likely will not set a trap this year. Looks like Illinois possum numbers will explode. If it’s going to be difficult to trap this looks like it might not be a bad year for the traps to hang in the shed. Was thinking about setting a few opening day 10th but weather has been way too warm and COVID test and quarantine starting the 13th just doesn’t leave much time.
If it ain't grinnin I ain't skinnin

Mine are simple. Have a good time and set traps!
Trapping is what built North America, why take that away?

Take my oldest grandson out and let him make some coon sets on his own (keep the farmers happy) and he wants to catch a coyote. He just called the other day and asked if we could go on his Thanksgiving break. He's 7. Now that sounds like a season to look forward too! I'll bet he will remember this Thanksgiving break for the rest of his life.

My trapping plans are to go pheasant hunting. Same. My dogs really coming into her prime and its more fun to me right now. Except will get out about 15-20 coyote sets within 8-10 miles of home.

Hitting coyotes harder, keep the coon population in check while we are at it, more walking than driving to stay in shape, skinning everything, running some cat and mink sets on side, and having a lot of good wholesome outdoor fun with my sons.
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Have some beaver to catch for some folks. Going to kill a few coyotes to thin the population. Also plan to do a lot more crappie and sauger fishing this winter.
