About 30 miles from there.

24 years Army Medical Corps

I only want to be known as:

A great husband, a good trapper, and a great steward of the land.

Beautiful country up there. I would like to visit and meet up with my few relatives that remain in the area.

I think that area of the U.P. was initially seen as farmland-not so much after the fact. Some farmers here in the thumb travel up there to buy hay. Looks like swamp grass to me. There were some Mennonites up in that area also. Mostly just good bear hunting.

I think once the natural recourse industry boomed from expansion and affordable auto production.
Most gave up farming for increased income.
I also think WW2 change rural America in most regions of Michigan and all over the U S.
Bread winners did not all return from victory.

As stated above big changes came to the region.
