I believe Justice Kavanaugh is a man of integrity and will decide anything on the merits of the law and precedence without bias or malice.... Unlike some other Justices both federal and state.

She was nasty to him. It was pathetic

Kavanaugh ruled against PA vote changing schemes by the State Supreme Court for a 4-4 split. If I understand it right PA law states the PA legislator is the authority/rule maker on elections. I believe the new suit is much along these same lines but now with the addition of Barret the court is no longer split.
I've been watching AZ. Biden led by a little less than 30,000 votes on Saturday but as of today only leads by 14,900 votes with ballots still remaining to be counted.

Staton it's in the US Constitution that the state legislatures have the power over election changes. What Pa and several other states did was use the judicial branch to alter voting procedures. Which is plainly against the Constitution. It would have been stopped had Barrett been seated at the time.

Now it is apparent why Democrats wanted so badly to hold her up.

PA will be reversed, and if so then other states will fall under the same ruling.

I hope and pray it's so. We shall see.

Us old timers remember a certain senator from Delaware trying to tank the nomination of Clarence Thomas.

Several conservative justices indicated they’d be open to taking the issue up after the election, especially if those late-arriving ballots could mean the difference in the state.

The legal issue is whether the extension ordered by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, relying on voter protections in the Pennsylvania constitution, violated the U.S. Constitution. The argument advanced by Republicans is that the Constitution gives state legislatures — not state courts — the power to decide how electoral votes are awarded, including whether absentee ballots received after Election Day can be counted.

Roughly 20 states allow for late-arriving ballots, but Pennsylvania’s Republican-controlled legislature did not authorize an extension, even with the huge increase in mailed ballots because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Supreme Court generally does not second-guess state courts when they rely on their own constitutions. But Democrats were alarmed by Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s reference to the court’s 2000 Bush v. Gore decision that effectively decided the presidential election in favor of George W. Bush. Although it was not the majority opinion in the case, an opinion joined by three conservative justices in 2000 would have ruled for Bush because the Florida Supreme Court’s recount order usurped the legislature’s authority.

The Supreme Court has never cited Bush v. Gore as the basis for a decision of the court. Kavanaugh is one of three justices who worked for Bush in the Florida case 20 years ago. Chief Justice John Roberts and new Justice Amy Coney Barrett are the others.

I agree, she was VERY nasty towards him. She was also nasty and spitful to Biden, even suggesting he was a racist during the primaries. But, to her, it was all just another audition.

Remember when Harris stated she believed Biden’s accuser and her voice needed to be heard?

That was the the biggest bag over the head move that anyone could do to someone! They had no problem whatsoever hoping to destroy that mans life!

I would love to see these people go down and the real fighting start so we can take back America.
