Well our muzzleloader season opened Saturday but I was only able to go for about an hour because my boys had football games, then Saturday afternoon my wife had scheduled us family pics so opening day was shot for me. So Sunday morning I went for a couple hours before church and saw a small 8. Then Sunday afternoon my 8yr old son ask if he could go. So me and him got out there around 4 and it was 70° definitely not prime condition. But as soon as we got there a decent buck was chasing a doe around, then around 5 another 8pt came cruising by behind us, then we turned back around and this buck was standing 150 yds away. He looked like a Hereford bull standing in the field. I knew it was the one I was after before I even saw his antlers. Fortunately I made a great shot and he didn't make it far. I found this bucks sheds in March and had several pics throughout the summer and early fall. I went home and came back with my dad and other son too. Definitely a hunt I'll never forget. He scored 162" and weighed over 250# which is about unheard of for east tennessee [Linked Image]

Great deer! Congratulations!

I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

Congrats. That is a monster, especially for that area of the country. Sometimes it just all comes together.
