Got mine this week- planning on buying a few more for gifts. What a great addition to my library. Kudos, Mr. Miranda.

Not so! All you have to do is scroll down his FB page, he has constantly talked about and promoted trapping and has done so for many, many years! He has promoted trapping more than anyone that has his standing on national outdoor tv airwaves, in my opinion.

Been quite a while since Tom has really mentioned trapping since his hunting and guiding started !
Nice to see he has taken the time to put together this book ! He has tirelessly promoted trapping on his TV shows and everything he does.

I received my copy today and let me first say, this book is a one of a kind. There is simply nothing like it in our tradition's history. Thank you Tom for your efforts and as an author myself I can't even imagine the mid-night oil necessary to put all this together. From the earliest hunter gathers until today is quite a span of time to narrate but your 385 pages is a walk through that era, with photos. maps, first hand accounts, and testimonies from trappers and supply dealers themselves. Just the gathering of information alone, is years of effort. No other way to do it the way this is laid out. Years of effort.
Thank you Tom on behalf of all of us who love to feel that crisp fall breeze on our skin and persevere when all others are home by the cozy fire! I'll be ordering more copies for friends and family members who are cut from our same bolt of cloth.
Blessings, Mark

I never thought I would pay that much for a book but know I will find it worth it, ordered it yesterday. I always regret not having the Trapping North American Furbearers book from Hawbaker that I bought over 50 years ago. I think my little sister damaged it, don't know where it ended up. I do still have my first Fur Fish Game Magazine that I got for Christmas 1964.

I’ve followed this gentleman since I first began trapping so many years ago, very well know about his ethics and work in the outdoors , have tried to order one of these the last couple weeks, imagine my surprise to find a copy in my mail this morning!!! I can’t express my gratitude enough to have such an individual as this who has taken the time and effort to notice a small guy like my self for his book, its really such a special thing for me!!
I appreciate this more than mere words can express, thank you so much Tom, you are really more than just an example of an outdoorsman !!!
Sorry if my opinions or replies offend you, they are not meant to !
