Got this sent to me in an e mail and it pretty much fits the bill as to where we are at. No Idea who the author is though.
"Don't say the pledge of allegiance in school!" They said
"Don't stand for the anthem at sports!" They said
"There is no such thing as gender!" They said
"We must destroy our memorials!" They said
"We must destroy the country!" They said
On and on they shouted, never once thinking they too would be silenced.
It is November 2020. Man has been trying to predict their doom since the time they could rationalize the concept. Yet I find myself in a reality where all industries of society are at war with its people. The news prints lies, the media silences, the corporations prey, and all the while the "rebellion" is propped by the establishment. Lies are truth, injustice is justice, and like a smoldering fire, all soon to be left is ash and ruin. Contempt for each other is on full display, and close is the time where words are no longer enough. We have allowed weak men to create dark days, all that is left is for the pin to drop.
I am anxious, if not scared for what comes next. Even should Trump win in law, it will only prolong the inevitable; if it does not prove to be the spark itself. I find myself at a crossroads in history, to my right is war and to my left is slavery.
Should you read this in some far off land or in some other time, know that Old America's fall came from her own freedoms. The freedom to explore dangerous ideas without the wisdom to resist them. The freedom to have infinite knowledge in your pocket yet choose to squander it. The freedom to consume yourself to an early grave, or to buy yourself a prolonged life.
I do not know what will become of this land or its people. I can only pray to whatever cause of creation that it please have mercy; but in the pit of my stomach, I know it won't. There is an absolute reckoning coming for us, we have lived in plenty for so long. We have indulged ourselves far too much, the bill is due. So which path do we take America? War or Slavery.
