While I was deer hunting this evening,l watched as a coyote circled a bobcat that was sitting on his butt in a picked bean field. Coyote was all arched back and circled the cat 3-4 times before he tried him from the back side. I knew cats were fast, but that cat wheeled from sitting down and nailed that coyote and sent him over the hill packing the mail. I have been told that coyotes will kill a cat with no problem. This cat must of been the heavy weight title holder in that area. He did appear to have a viscous right hook. Any body ever seen something like this? Promise I wasn't drinking.

A friend of mine saw a bobcat chasing a small buck last week. He said he didn't know a bobcat would try to take a deer down.

I killed a bobcat in Virginia that was actually in the process of taking a deer down.

Don’t know about the critters y’all trap, but if I had to release a critter butt naked and blindfolded it would be a coyote and definitely not a bobcat!! Bobcats look at you like they’d rip your throat out, so yeah I imagine they’d put a whooping on a lone coyote.

Wow what a cool thing to see! Bobcats are no joke. I seriously doubt many coyotes could kill a cat with “no problem” lol. I would wager that most if not all the cats I’ve dealt with would send any coyote running.

This cat just sat down and dared this coyote to try him.

The cat controlled the fight is all.

My daughter was with me (so I got a witness) We saw a buck that was an absolute toad, just at dark. She wants to go again in the morning to try and get a shot at him. Gonna let her lead the way in to the stand in the morning. A man can't be too safe with mean animals like that in the area.

I dont know about bobcats but lynx are lightening fast when attacking you.
Buddy had one in a #4 longspring by a back foot,it was backed up to the end of the drag chain. When he approached it with the catch pole it jumped on him and tore his parka to shreds in about 5 seconds-looked like a whirlwind.
There was feathers floating and flying around all over the bush from buddys down parka, lol.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Bobcats and lynx are like four feet with razors.
