Wait Jack writes books too? I thought he just foot snared lions and tigers and made Michelangelo quality skinnin' knives.

Where can one find his book ? I believe the question should be “find his bookS”. I am quite sure there is more than one. That is an even better question. Where are these books sold?

Nate (and all you others)!
Really glad you enjoyed the book. I spent 40 years writing science (journal articles, book chapters, etc.) I finally tired of that when it became obvious that most of the editors and reviewers, making you re-write, re-write, then re-write the re-writes knew nothing about what they were commenting on. Major paper-chase. Too, with the science journals, I had to pay them to get the work published (page charges). Then I evolved to putting together short manuscripts and selling to a few of the popular outlets (F-F-G etc.). They don't pay much, but at least I didn't have to pay them to publish it. The novel "The Last Hunt" was fun. I wanted something short that told of an adventure, and wasn't full of extraneous "filler" like so many novels I read. I also tried to make it unpredictable (the good guy doesn't always win and get the fair maiden). So far, the two books out there have been a financial disaster, probably because I'm not a salesman, I don't have an agent, and I don't do book signing gigs. I'd rather be trapping. The one I'm trying to finish up now (it's on hold 'til my coyote/fox season is over) is a fun one, sort of an autobiography of adventures in the outdoors ("Wild Life - The Evolution and Misadventures of a Naturalist"). The earlier books are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Trafford Press, etc.). White17 read through and edited an earlier version, and I'm indebted to him for that (and many other things).
Face to the wind...
Jack

I feel privileged to have known him in the 1970s when he was a nobody!!! LOL
LOL Nancy! I'm still a nobody, and I don't even need to work very hard at maintaining that status. I look back at those days in the Fur House with a grin on my face. Back in the day, there was some real fur that went through that place. Jack
