Very cool pictures, there is just something about old trapping pictures that I really dig.

I see those coon are stretched square.
Some people on here a while back were wondering about the correct way to cut and square stretch a coon-any insight?

'Old Reelfoot' or 'Club Foot' the most famous grizzly taken in oregon around 1890. This big brute got his name after George Wright (below) attempted to trap him with a #6 Newhouse and only ended up taking 3 toes. It made national news when he was finally brought down. The elusive giant killed so many cattle that there was a $2700.00 reward offered. [Linked Image]

Some prime fur from the 79/80 season. Mink brought $32.00 and beaver was at $1.00 an inch so right at $65.00. Miss those days!

Here's an old one of me taken 48 years ago when I set 6 330's and had 6 beaver the next morning. That is when I learned never to set too many beaver traps at one time.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Thanks! I wish I could take the credit for the put up but my girlfriends dad was an accomplished trapper and had a lot of pride in his fur after the catch. He helped me and thankfully I learned a lot and can follow in his footsteps today!
