Here is an easy way to make some fancy looking pie crust for the top. This is a 2 piece die that you flour your top crust and lay it on this and then use a roller to press it on. Then you pick up the top piece and it leaves all the cut pieces in the bottom. Flip it over on your pie and finish the edge like you like.

I'm too lazy to make pies. I did render some lard last week from some pigs we butchered, then did some negotiating with a neighbor who makes killer pies in exchange for some fresh lard. I've got an order in for apple, cherry and peach!


Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
