Since when do they grade coon by the quality of the belly fur?
Looks like rats aren't doing to bad.

Ok, I'll watch later, but what's the average in the deals for coon, about an Abe or lower...?

The belly thing is easy to understand, if the belly fur is thick and long chances are the coon is primed up nicely.

He didn't like those snared coon. I didn't watch long enough to see if he got in any snared beaver to comment on
That 1st guy turned down $40 for that 1 coyote, wow.
I woulda thought deer hides are worth more than $2. I get $5 for mine at Theisen's Home Farm Auto, but it's in the form of a gift card.

If its around the flanks it is. If its around the neck its not.

I didn't watch long enough to see if he got in any snared beaver to comment on \\ I would guess his beaver prices will not matter if snared or not, as long as the fur is clean. Mainly going to the hatter market, which uses the under fur after being removed from the leather. So a snare mark doesn't make a difference.

I couldnt believe that one guy pulled his handful of coyotes back. The one was definitely ugly and low value other was a $40 which hey I'd would take for our dirty reds around here. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Jim I think when he called it ugly the old man took it wrong. Ain't no fault of the trapper when you catch an ugly critter.

I wonder what that guy on here from New Jersey has to say about getting down graded for snared coons.
Do they really do much more damage than a conibear? Depends. When an animal is dispatched quickly by the snare(set lethal) -no. Animals alive in a snare(or bodygrip) will damage themselves.

Do they really do much more damage than a conibear? When body snared, which is common on Coons and Beaver the guard hair gets stuck in cable during struggle and is usually removed with the snare. That doen't happen with the solid bar on a body grip. You'll see the body grip line on the leather but that doesn't cause it to be discounted.
