He has been having health issues for awhile but was holding his own given his age.

Got an email back from Tom, this afternoon. Said they were on the mend and the worst was over. I didn't realize they were 80, but said they should be going home soon. Very good news!

Thanks for the update Lee.
I’ll send Tom a link to this thread so he can see all the support.

Thanks Lee,
Spent a week with Tom on his Marten line almost 30 years ago. Fond memories. Still e-mail a few times a year.
He has inspired me in several different things. Trapping, snaring, fur put up, photography, humor, probably more.
Be good to hear when they both get home.

Prayers for our good friend.
Tom came down with the H1N1 when we had him to the Academy in Kansas a couple years back and we got him to the local hospital in that instance.

He is plain and simply one of the best in this biz! Period.

Prayers sent for them to recover quickly, one of the trappers that got me hooked as a kid in the 80s. Back when you got a mail order catalog to thumb through until the pages wore thin.

I sent Tom a link to this thread and got this response:

"Oh wow, that is so nice of you to post. Just have my phone so cannot post as I do not recall my code, please pass we are grateful for any prayers. Our faith serves us well. Gayle will recover completely, I have 50% reduced kidney function now but heart & lungs not effected so looks like rest this winter & back at it next. Again we appreciate kind thoughts & prayers more than I can say, lots of good people dying, these are hard days for everyone! "
