One lung the can go a long time, I wish you well Sir. Thnx. Feels pretty bad. First one i lost was a result of a deflection. 120 yd shot, 30-06. Hardly a blood trail. Assumed buck made it. Next was a big six pt. Montec g5 broadhead slammed into shoulder blade and penetrated about an inch. Found one drop of blood. Assumed he made it. This one hurts

I hope you find him also but sounds like you didn’t hit an artery. Arteries don’t throw clots if the deer is moving. Clots to me are a sign of vein hits( low pumping pressure and clotting). If you can stay on him and push him long enough he might lose enough blood and go down. If he stops and rests it will clot and stop bleeding. He probably live.

The natives were smart enough to throw their bows down on when they were introduced to a gun. Just ribbing Hutchy , I've lost a few also. Lol. The natives also didn't have a bunch of beuracrats telling them they could only use a bow

Issue is I don't know where to look anymore, no more blood. Id follow forever if I could. Plus a long shot here with a rifle is 60 yards. I know people who have stepped on dead deer before they saw them
