Good morning everyone , I have a question for you mink trappers. Do you think a victor 1.75 closed jaw 2 coil would be ok to use on mink or too much trap ? Thanks in advance for any advice .Mostly blind sets and some pocket sets , I figured due to the depressed market now's the time to learn how to trap the little buggers , something different for me .

Should be fine.
Many use the old weak framed #2 ‘s as well

If you already have them and want to use them they would be okay. Just make sure the tension is cut back to almost nothing. Many mink trappers like to use the old square jaw number 2 Victor coil spring.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Certainly will. I use mostly the old squared jawed Victor 2’s.

Good trap for mink. No pan tension, pull pan to a hair trigger.

Can you drown the mink every time ?
That should also be a question you ask yourself !

I run 1 1/2 dukes. Just remember the larger jawed traps are not good on coon and yes you will catch coon if targeting mink.

If that is all you have then use them. Make sure they stay in the water and best yet use a slide wire.
