AliciaK OP trapper A Joined: Mar 2020 Posts: 36 WI	I'm looking to set up a room for fur tanning. How do you guys tan your furs? Is there any special equipment I should get? Any input is much appreciated! You can't go wrong with being outdoors.

AnthonyT trapper A Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 1,601 KY	Really depends on what tanning agents you are using and what the final product will be used for. If you have never tanned before you really need to figure out if you even like to tan fur. It is a process and not everyone enjoys it. In order to be a good fur tanner you have to be a good fur handler as far as skinning and fleshing go.

Personally, I'd ask the many full time experts at www.taxidermy.net even tho many taxi's send to tanneries www.sevenoakstrappingsupplies.com for trap mods and gear The 10 Commandments are not suggestions. Buy a soldiers meal EVERY chance you can.
