I had a few guys from work give me several buckets of deer scraps, and there were a few hearts in there which I have frozen. I would have eaten it, but guess they didn't care for it. I've seen some great ideas using deer liver from many sharing on trapperman, but don't see any on hearts. Anyone tried it for canines, and would you use it similarly to liver? Taint it or use it fresh? Does it hold good attraction to coyotes? Thanks!

I ground some hearts along with liver and lungs from two deer today. It smelled good to me without tainting, so I preserved it right away. This is the first time I have tried this so we will see what it does.

They will eat that and the liver faster than anything full of vitamins high in proteins and fat
