Anyone use them? If so, how do they perform? I'm debating whether to try them or not. A little leery of them if you would hit bone.

depends on what your shooting with them. They will kill but better got for NTR shots if you are in areas that you can't see the animal drop. NO BLOOD TRAIL. reason I went away from my 6 mm in tall grass and thickets. But neck shots do solve lots of looking issues lol.

Ive killed dozens of deer with my Rem Model 7 .243. Have used the Win 95 grain ballistic tips. Put it right in the shoulder...

These are like a ballistic tip. They have a larger diameter tip that is supposed to open them up quick. I'm just afraid they'll open to quick.

Do your part, and they will do theirs. This is what most people seem to neglect, I feel.

Lead/ alloy core. No partition to stop expansion and keep pushing.

If this 95gr. Bullet had a fused jacket to the core. It would be better. But it Dosent.

Large ballistic tip. Designed for fast trauma and large wound Chanel.

If ... you use these on deer. shot placement will be critical. There are much better choices out there.

Ive been using 243 since 1968, never lost a deer . Head of neck shot down. Heart or lung shot a few yards... Take ones time and squeeze ! Never used more than one shot.

We have been shooting them with 100 gr interlocks out of the the 243. Most drop shot by my boys. 4 this year. They Always have exited on chest /shoulder shots but I have a lot of trimming around the hole due to fragments. I also get a lot of core jacket separation. Cut my finger in a jacket silver last week infact.

I'm thinking about going with barnes to avoid all the lead in the meat. But most likely will be using whatever I can find with these shortages that will probably last years.

In 7mm08 the 139gr interlock the bullet seems to hold up better and dose more damage/larger and bigger exits. But I still find lead fragments in the meat.

I've Shot over 45 Deer and Antelope with a .243 .so I know what and how to use them

But the Question the OP asked was about the Win.95 grain XPs

And everyone starts saying how good the .243 is. And what they shoot in bullets. I tried to say the XP asked about isn't Fused. Or Bonded jacket, it has a large hollowed out ballistic tip. And in Winchester s breakdown of this bullet it says it will rapidly expand . So with a lead/ Alloy core and No partition it will frag. Fast upon hutting bone on Deer sized game.

I would use them sure , knowing that for that bullet a Neck or at the most a dbl. Lung shot would be my choice.

I myself prefer a better built bullet.
