I just talked to Guy and he said he Is still interested In buying beaver dorasl skinned. He Is still only paying hatter prices. He also said he would buy them case skinned If some of you want to sell that way. He quoted me a price of $2.00 and $6.00 for green skinned beaver no matter how they are skinned. I assume that if they were put up they may sell for a bit more but I'm not sure. He also said he had talked to some overseas manufactures and they seemed like the idea. So It's just testing the waters at this time. But you never know what might come of It.

Skin and dry some like that and ship them to FHA. I bet you will get DMG grades. IIRC there is a test market wanting them that way. Some guys will dorsal skin beaver in the spring when the bite marks start getting bad.

There Is some interest In having the belly fur uncut. Belly fur doesn't need to be plucked and sheared so If It's cut It needs to be sewn back together which ads to the cost. We don't know If this Is going to improve prices down the road but It's not going to cost you anything to give It a try.
