Rags weight joke post reminded me of probably my worst one! At work quite a few of of us were in a weight loss contest. One of my lady co-workers asked how I was doing. I replied “well must be doing okay....I saw the tip this morning while showering”. Somehow I did not end up discussing the comment with HR!
What about you guys? Any comments that made you “sweat” a tad bit?

Two different construction sites. Two different inspectors. Same truck driver. Basically same rant and mentioning the words retardation. Wouldn't you know that both of them had children that were impaired... Open mouth insert foot.

There was a woman at the cash register, I ask if her son was there. She said no I do not have a son that is my husband.

Idiot was the official word for someone with an IQ under 80. It wasn't derogatory, just a medical term. But, school kids started calling each other idiots and it became an insult so they ditched that word. The new word was retarded. It just means slowed down. It was a nice way to say it. These kids are just slowed down. Cool. But school kids started calling each other retarded and ruined that word too.

I guess it's "special needs" now - until that becomes an insult too. Wonder what term will be used next.

Here’s one, a guy at work took a vacation to Idaho to buy some property and build a cabin for his retirement. When he came back to work he brought a bunch of pictures. There were quite a few of him and another guy riding bicycles, they had helmets on!!! After probably a dozen pics of them i asked who the other guy was on the bike, he said... That’s not a guy, that’s my wife!! I didn’t know what to say, i just walked away.

I said retarded to a good friend whose daughter has Down’s syndrome. Lucky for me he’s good natured and isn’t offended easily. I felt real bad though. His little girl is the sweetest most beautiful soul I’ve ever met.

Don't feel bad. I asked the guy who owns the house next door to me who was the other woman who was living with the girl who was renting his house.
He informed me that it wasn't a girl.

Coworker says to the young blonde at the copier, will you be long, she says, I am almost done. He says do you tell your husband that? He got written up but was retiring in 2 weeks.

When my kids were young they were disciplined at school for nicknaming the short bus on our route the "retard rocket".
