I reload too but the local shop wants 61 cents apiece for. 45 ACP bullets alone. I left them there.

Its hard for me to imagine that anybody in America who owns firearms didnt put back some ammo after the B.O. years.

But Danny, what did Obama ever do against gun rights? We gained the ability to carry guns in national parks...but what did we lose?
Obama probably would have been delighted to grab guns, if the political winds had favored it. But the point is, he didn't.

He wanted to. He often said so. He couldnt get new gun control past the senate. That may change this time.

That same ammo was 19.99 a box in 1995 when I bought my 338. I have only purchased 5 boxes in all that time and they were for the brass. That was when I started reloading. And in 1995 a standard caliber like 30/06 or 270 would have been 6.99 a box. When you put that into perspective that 59.99 is about right considering standards are about $20 a box today.

I did, but wouldn't use core lokt to shoot a barn rat. I know lots of deer have fallen to them over the decades, but many quality and/or design issues had lead to many going a lot further or unnecessary lost as well.
Seriously though, i would grab both boxes for sure at $20. Use for practice and the brass. $60? I dont think the value is there.

I have to admit the .338 represents a gaping hole in my collection. Since I sold my .35 Whelen, I currently have nothing between .308 and .375.
I'd like to get another .35 Whelen, in a bolt-gun this time.

Jim Better get yourself a second job then. Your party of choice is going to make your little collection put a gaping hole in your wallet.

Jim That is too boring by today’s standards. You need to get a 35-6.5 40 degree Transgender Improved to fit in today.
I have nothing clever to put here.
