k gang......I nabbed an otter this morning in a set ........I decided to keep him instead of letting him go for 10 bucks..........suggestions on what do with him would be great.

John I sent five to Moyles last year and they turned out great.

I saw one once that was case skinned and tanned and then made into an arrow quiver. It was a pretty slick looking for guys that are into traditional archery.

If you send it to a taxidermist be sure you look at other otter mounts he has done. Taxidermists are notoriously horrible at doing good otter (and cat) mounts.
Pay particular attention to the feet; feet that are overstuffed and unnatural looking are a sure sign the guy doesn't know what otter look like.

Releasing them is a lot of fun. They are dangerous. You usually get only one shot with the catch pole so make it good the first time. Then you have a tiger by the tail. It is best to have help as they are very strong and will bite and not let go......jk
