So i know alot if your older guys (and a good many of us yondee guys as well) prefer gun and relaoding videos that are a little more , based I guess you could say. Not a bunch if new fangled ,top trending this and that with a ton of explosions and extras. Well for y'all who are like that is like to introduce you guys to this man's channel. He is extremely down to earth well spoken and experienced. Watching him is like sitting down and having a cup of coffee with the nice old guy down the road imo. Any how juat wanted to share .

my 30-06 is downloaded to about 2650 with a 165gr btsp but not because of the meat destruction , because they are M1 safe and easier on the 742 in both they are such an easy recoiling round at that speed the brass is 4 feet in front of my right toe when I shoot from standing in a neat little pile watching the round impact through the scope on the 742.

ever notice the guns that are not often found on the used rack?

around here
a Savage 340B in 30-30.
virtually anything 308 with the exception of the junk Remington 770s and such but that is the poor Remington quality
not much for Remington 76 , 760 , 7600 especially in 308 don't think I have ever seen a used one in 308 and if you say with the carbine barrel never seen on in a used rack.
35 rem lever guns
mini 30

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

He is a little long winded but then again he has forgotten more about reloading and firearms then I will ever know!

He has figured out you don't need all that velocity to kill a whitetail. The older we get and the more attention you pay to terminal velocities and meat damage the more you'll find it true. Most folks rarely kill a deer over 100 yards, and even fewer over 200. Try heavy for caliber cast, at 1900- 2100 FPS in the .30-06, the bullet and alloy is the key, and your shoulder will thank you. You may also find you shoot more because it doesn't hurt to do so.
