this is my opinion.

Additionally, your being out and about could jump some deer to a waiting hunter. too many times, hunters just sit and don't push deer.

A lot of " deer hunters" will use any excuse why they didny kill "their deer) they will use you for that excuse if they see you. 2 years ago I was hunting public ground in KY during youth season with my boys. I was close to the parking lot and knew what to expect. 15 min after legal light a shot came from behind us. 13 min they came walking by 200 yards away. 10min lattwr their deer cart assembled they came back by. 3 min later right where they walked by a doe appeared. That doe worked her way to within 96 yards of us and my son 7 at the time dropped her. That was his first deer. Point being people can work for or against you and hunting public ground they should expect the people.

Most sportsman are friendly deer hunters seem to be the exception. I have only had problems with deer hunters. Just tonight my cousins had to call the Conservation Officer over some angry meth head deer hunters getting aggressive with them on their lease. Sometimes I question if it's even worth hunting after dealing with all the crap that goes with it. I'm really glad I at least own one small place to take the kids.

I’m in line with jbyrd63. It’s your right to be there but I’m always thinking about the other guy. Not that the guys above aren’t just a different opinion.

You can't please deer hunters no matter what you do.

They will complain you are scaring the deer 2 months
after the deer season closes.

They don't want trappers, or small game hunters, or
anyone else in "THEIR" deer woods.

They will shoot your trapped animals, steal your traps,
sabotage your sets, and even vandalize your vechile !! laugh

There is no winning with the antler worshipers.

Butt they just have to check their recoil pads on your side-mirrors as they walk past your parked truck.
Little did they know your dash camera records impacts.

Don't know how you plan packing them out but you might put them in an orange sack. I would be sure there was no fur showing any place while near my body. You think they can see your orange but going thru brushy area can cause blind spots and some idiot looks up with tunnel vision and sees a patch of beaver fur and ?

I always preferred total darkness in deer season.

What Foxpaw said!!! There was a out of state guy deer hunting this year in Nebraska on state ground that shot a big horn sheep, seen fur and gunned it down. Pricey mistake, its 25K fine just for the sheep itself, thats not the fines he faces for the laws he broke included.

And after hanging around on this site for a few years, it’s obvious that pleasing trappers is so easy.

Opening day for gun season was last Saturday so it's a week later. And we're not talking land traps.

Is there any type of ethics thing I'm violating by dragging stuff around the woods at 8:30 in the morning.

I try to be quiet but I don't want to let beaver sit all day if I'm going to eat it.

Thank you.

Wear plenty of orange and body armour.
