If you've shot muzzleloaders long enough, you've been there.

Yep! Been shooting them since 1976. Used to run a shop over here in the La Crosse area.

When I had my shop it was amazing how many balls I pulled, sears replaced, and all the other stuff I dealt with around deer season. One time I had a guy call me for a price on a TC. Gave him an extremely good price and then he replied "I can order it from Gander Mountain (before they had retail stores) for $15 less." I was in the right or wrong mood to hear something like that so I replied "Okay, on the night before deer season if you need you gun repaired, send it back to Gander." and then hung up. I always kept a good stock of common repair items and parts...just in case.

Track of the wolf makes the best ball puller I have used when you let teen boys load MZLDR next to Teen Girls well it makes for instructors pulling dry balls from barrels. lesson learned

Starting to get the new flinter dialed in. 85 grains of 3F, a .020 patch and a .530 ball. This is off the bench at 50 yards.
