Good luck to all of you who are gun hunting Ohio's deer this week. It looks like the weather here will be less than stellar tomorrow for the opener. I hope to kill the first 2 deer I get a decent shot at again. The deer have a lot of their trails down to bare mud already, but they are unfortunately mostly nocturnal on my property. I have a lot of trees that were thrashed pretty good by bucks. I put 3 buckets of corn out on Friday and they were almost entirely gone today. I put 2 more buckets out today. I hope to high shoulder hit the deer again to drop them in their tracks.

Yep...got my rain gear ready and a spare set of clothes. Going to be in the stand for the first couple days f hours then likely heading to the blind for the rest of the day. Not as good of a spot but sounds like solid cold rain all day. Tuesday should have some white stuff so it will be fun. Be safe everyone!

I was supposed to be back there hunting deer for Ohio's short season this year. Had it planned and a place to stay. Unfortunately, my buddy couldn't make it. His Parkinson's has been steadily getting worse.

Nothing. But his main past time is trolling this site with stories of how much he hates Ohio. We have enough of our own trash, we don’t need any imported.

Took the first two days off. But im tagged out, so Im sitting here warm and dry :P Gonna work on some trapping stuff later.

One of these days I would love to get to ohio Archery hunting again. It's been many years for me but life takes over sometimes and I also lost all of my land owner connections I had made over the years coon hunting in ohio.i really enjoyed hunting ohio.met alot of great people there.

Myself and 2 others were hunting on the place I hunt. Light rain but not much wind. All 3 of us tagged by 7:50. I shot a trophy doe. How do I know it's a trophy? She never once showed up on one of them spy cameras Savell talks about. Couldn't even give her a name. Must have been really smart. .444 Marlin found its mark. I'm a happy hunter.
