Does anyone use dish TV??? I have been to their site and have tried to see what equipment the customer has to buy and can't find my answer.

With Dish do you buy the dish and or any other equipment??? I see they do all installation for free from outside to in house up to 6 rooms.

Thanks

I think they give you the equipment if you sign a contract.

Just got rid of it. Was $180 a month and we decided to go YouTube TV for $70 or so. We get locals on it. We also have Amazon prime. You can get packages from them for under $100 but not sure what they are.

Okay! I might have to call them and get the scoop. All I really get from the site is package prices from ~ 59 to 100$.

Be careful. They start off with a cheap monthly rate then it ends up to be the most expensive of all cable service! I can't remember exactly but around $29.00 per month then ended up over $130.00 per month! Read your contract before signing, I DIDN'T, MY BAD. LOL

They’re all the same.

As far as equipment, they won’t give you prices on buying because they prefer you rent. You can buy the equipment many places, but you have to set it up yourself. And of course if you have technical issues at some point, you have to pay for a tech to come fix it.

Dish is 10 times better than Direct. Way way more recording space on the hopper box!

We had direct 12 yrs. 12 yrs too long!

They get you to sign up then raise the price every year until you dump them.

I have dish at my at my place in central Wisconsin for about 8yrs. I pay about $55 per month for the basic service for 2 tvs., price does go up a little every year, some local channels , a lot of channels selling stuff and a lot of duplicates. I did not pay for any of the equipment. I get several of the outdoor channel varieties and a weather channel. It is not my primary residence. I do not do any recording or on demand stuff.

I have DISH and have had it for about15 years... I get 200 channels (watch maybe 20), pay $5.00 to $10 for local MSM, have one hookup, high def. and it costs me $112.57 months. I don't have all of the recorders attachments or anything else. Price has been within a few dollars the last 6 years.

We have had DISH for over a decade we bundled it with our phone and internet. I don't know exactly our current price but it is not cheap and does go up a few dollars per year. Service is good and dependable. We have a lot of channels, more than we need or use and should contact a local rep and change or package.

Dumped Dish 3 years ago and fully stream tv with Hulu live now, three kids multiple tvs and no wires. Way happier with this than Dish. Plus its alot cheaper and you dont have to put holes in your roof or siding. About 60$ a month for Hulu live and all the same channel besides the Outdoor channel, but id rather go do what there doing on that channel than watch it on TV.

We have Dish, my only complaint is once in a while the Closed Caption doesn't work. I might notice it around 7:00 in the evening and the next morning it will be working so I guess it isn't a big deal since I mainly watch sporting events. I can't hear so I rely on CC. Does anyone use the Dish for their internet provider? If so, how does that work out?

Switched from Directv to Dish about 7-8 years ago, so that I could get local channels. As mentioned, they start out cheap, then raise the price and lose channels every year. Now about $100/mo for my package. I have the 200 channel package with hopper. Always seems to be a dispute between Dish and local channels, so seem to lose one at a time for a couple/3 months until it is resolved, then it's a different channel. Satallite only way to get tv or internet where I live. Would have to upgrade internet to get any of the other watching options that others haver mentioned, ie. Amazon prime, etc.

That's a programming or channel issue, not a Dish one.

When you pull up the guide it will tell you whether the program has a CC option.
